I’ve been working in the interactive industry for the past 5 years, since I graduated Columbia College Chicago with a BA in Film and Interactive Multimedia. While the filmmaking half of my degree became more of a hobby, interactive became a passion and a career. After a few years of selling my views on the medium to clients in the form of powerpoints and POVs, I realized that building a personal blog was long overdue.
There were many exciting ideas I had that I never got to speak, not to mention other passions in my life that I felt compelled to write about. One such example was a growing appreciation of wine and the culinary arts, for which I was having a hard time finding a satisfying outlet (you know, besides eating and drinking).
Thus… Recently Consumed was born. It was an effort to bring together the things I love in my life, the things I feel inspired by. And in doing so, help me to form better detailed opinions around them, remember them, and archive them for future use. To make it more fun and more frequent, I decided not to limit this blog to a specific industry. This is not a tech blog, this is not a wine blog, and this is not a journal. In a perfect post, it might be a combination of all of the above.
Previous work experience includes freelance web design, teaching, and four years as an Interactive Strategist / Producer at Q LTD in Ann Arbor, a strategic design consultancy. I started my new job as a Strategist at Organic in May 2007 and have since worked on the Chrysler and GeekSquad accounts, including developing interactive strategy behind the launch of 3 new Dodge vehicles: Challenger, Journey, and Ram.
